Staging draft — review before launch. This notice reflects the information confirmed so far. CookieYes is not yet active, and retention arrangements, marketing settings and international-transfer details still need checking.

Privacy information for website enquiries, business communications and marketing from Mr Europe.

Who is responsible for your information?

Jack Nicholas Ltd, trading as Mr Europe, is responsible for the personal information covered by this policy. This notice explains how we use information when you visit our website, make a product or manufacturing enquiry, or receive marketing from us.

Email: info@mreurope.co.uk
Telephone: 01462 674 222
Address: 1 Cottered Barn, Warren Lane, Cottered, Buntingford, SG9 9QG

What information do we collect?

Our contact form asks for your name, email address and message. You may also give us a telephone number, business details, delivery location, product requirements, drawings or other information when discussing an enquiry or project.

For email marketing, we use contact details and marketing preferences. Mailchimp is the service we use to manage marketing emails. The information held depends on what you provide and your relationship with us.

Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry. Avoid including sensitive personal information or personal details about other people unless they are needed and you are entitled to share them.

Why do we use your information?

We use enquiry information to answer questions, assess requirements, prepare quotations and communicate about products or an agreed project. We also use relevant records to administer business relationships, meet legal obligations and resolve queries or disputes.

Our lawful basis depends on the purpose. For business enquiries and business relationships, we rely on legitimate interests in responding to requests and running our business, taking account of your rights. Where you are personally entering a contract with us, the contract basis applies to the steps you request and delivery of that contract. Legal obligation applies to records we are required by law to keep.

Marketing emails and your choices

We use Mailchimp to send marketing emails about our products and services. Where consent is required, marketing must be based on that consent. Relevant business-to-business marketing may rely on legitimate interests where the applicable rules allow it.

You can object to direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact info@mreurope.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it.

We may retain limited contact information on a suppression list so that an opt-out can be respected rather than sending further marketing. The final campaign settings, including any email tracking, must be checked before launch.

Who do we share information with?

Information is available to the people handling your enquiry and to providers needed for website operation, business communications and administration. Where needed for an agreed project, relevant information may be shared with the organisations involved in its manufacture or delivery. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary for legal or regulatory matters.

Jetpack: our website uses Jetpack for the contact form. Its documentation explains that submissions are stored in the website database and emailed to the form recipient. Read the Jetpack Privacy Center for information about the service.

Mailchimp: marketing contact information is handled through Mailchimp. Information about the provider is available in the Intuit Global Privacy Statement and Mailchimp Data Processing Addendum.

How long do we keep information?

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. For enquiries and project records, the criteria include whether the enquiry is still active, whether a customer relationship results, applicable record-keeping obligations and the need to resolve queries or legal claims.

Marketing preferences and limited opt-out records may need to be retained so that your choices can be respected. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. Fixed retention periods have not yet been set; the retention process and these criteria remain subject to business review before launch.

Cookies and website services

Cookies and similar technologies can support website functions, sign-in and security. Other technologies can measure website or email activity, depending on the services and settings enabled.

CookieYes is planned for launch but is not currently active on this staging site. The final cookie information and preference controls need to reflect the technologies actually used, their purposes, providers and lifetimes. Where consent is required, it must be obtained before the relevant technology is used.

Your browser can also restrict or delete cookies, although this may affect website functions. External links take you to services with their own privacy practices; review their notices before providing personal information.

Where is information processed?

Our service providers may process information outside the UK. Mailchimp’s documentation describes processing and transfer arrangements involving the United States and other locations, and sets out applicable contractual safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum.

Where a restricted international transfer takes place, an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards are required. Contact us to ask about the processing locations and arrangements relevant to your information. The arrangements for the services used by this business must be verified before launch.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may be able to request access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of information you supplied. These rights have conditions and exceptions.

Right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Your right to object to direct marketing applies at any time. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent.

Email info@mreurope.co.uk to make a request or ask a question. Explain what you need and provide enough information to help identify the relevant records. We may need to check your identity before disclosing information.

Questions and complaints

Please contact us if you are concerned about the handling of your information. You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Visit the ICO complaints page for current complaint and contact options.

Changes to this policy

We will update this notice when our website, services or information-handling practices change. Please check this page for the latest version.
